For books with FMV under $399:

Press: $15

Clean, press and buff: $45

Aqueous bath (cover only): $40

Tack iron: $5

Ozone chamber: $25

Staple removal/replacement: $10

Cracking out a book that's encapsulated: $5

Cold Press: Free

NOTE: For foxing and tanning, there are other techniques besides an aqueous bath (i.e. an ultraviolet light box). Once I receive the book, I'll tell you if it could benefit from this and what the charge will be. I can't do this estimate from photos. This applies to all tiers.

Tier 2

For books with FMV $400 to $999:

Press: $15 (includes multiple pressings)

Clean, press and buff: $55

Aqueous bath (cover only): $40

Tack iron: $5

Ozone chamber: $25

Light box: $5 to $15

Staple removal/replacement: $10

Cracking out a book that's encapsulated: $5

Cold Press: Free

Tier 3

For books whose FMV $1000 to $2999:

Press: $15 (includes multiple pressings)

Clean, press, buff and aqueous bath: $140

Tack iron: $5

Ozone chamber: $25

Light box: $5 to $15

Staple removal/replacement: $10

Cracking out a book that's encapsulated: $5

Cold Press: Free

Tier 4

For books whose FMV $3000+:

3% FMV surcharge

Press: $15 (includes multiple pressings)

Clean, press and buff: $45

Aqueous bath: $60

Tack iron: $5

Ozone chamber: $25

Light box: $5 to $15

Staple removal/replacement: $10

Cracking out a book that's encapsulated: $5

My process:

I usually take about 6 books at a time to be fair to other clients so they can have their books done also. 

I don’t start a book until we agree what work you want done. When l start a book l will send you pictures of defects l have found. Here's an example:

When the job is complete, you'll receive pics with the final result:

CGC Community Review:

Pics of your book are posted to the CGC forum. Community members will give their opinion on the grade. ComicSpa also provides a grade estimate of the book. 

If you go to cgccomics.com you can see other books l have done in the past. You don’t need to be a member. Choose Chatboards. Then click on “Hey buddy, can you spare a grade.” There Look for the ComicSpa logo through all the pages and you will find the books. The logo is a comic book relaxing in a hot tub.
